L'Osteria Esslingen in Esslingen am Neckar

Long wait and quality of a chain restaurant. And the change was obviously given wrongly on purpose.

For the last three pizzas ordered on different days, the extra ingredients selected in the online shop were charged, but not delivered ... Otherwise, the taste of the pizza is very good if you eat it on site, as any errors can be addressed and corrected immediately.

Good food good stuff good staff

It's usually very noisy inside, but eating and drinking are okay. In summer the surrounding canal can smell a bit. It looks romantic to sit outside by the water, but you should know that before you can't enjoy the evening here disappointed. Update: It has happened several times that we were served very late, very slowly, or hardly noticed. I subtract one more star for that. But I can also look at the beautiful location in photos and don't have to come back to eat here. There are better restaurants in the area.

There are two stars for the good Italian food. One for the low prices and the large portions. However, you sometimes have to wait a long time at the entrance or at the bar. The service and the tone are not always friendly and sometimes you go under if you are only interested in eating a pizza and having a drink. Still very good and cheap pizza.

Not only is this restaurant in the most strategic position, it offers authentic crunchy thin crust pizza straight from a wooden fired oven. It is always full of people as it is a great place for celebrations.

Well, I am in the Losteria relatively often and in every city I visit, recently in Salzburg. So far everything has gone well and the food is perfect, as always, and the service is usually great too. On this beautiful day we were treated very badly by a waitress, that was for the reason that we paid immediately and left the shop. I will definitely avoid the location from now on.

Very tasty pizzas, which are also quite large. Nice ambience with a cozy sun terrace / beer garden right on the river. Absolutely to suggest!

As L'Osteria lovers we were very disappointed yesterday. Half of the drinks ordered didn't come - only when asked. In the course of the evening you were not asked whether you would like to drink or order something, or whether everything was okay. Service? = 0. The gnocchi came cold to the table and their taste was not what you are used to from the L'Osteria. Unfortunately the pizza only came after everyone else had finished with their gnocchi, it was the wrong one. After the complaint, the ingredients were simply exchanged and the pizza came back to the table with the raw ingredients. The pizza was also cold. As mentioned above, we love going to L'Osteria in different places. From the location and idyll one of the best L'Osterias, unfortunately the rest was not convincing.

Were there tonight and had reservations. Reservation was forgotten took forever until we got the table and the service was awesome when setting the table, they really touched every cutlery from above instead of the handle that is the least amount of cutlery to be touched by the handle when setting the table. Luckily the pizza was tasty.

Location is nice, the food is not bad, service is terrible though.

The ambience is very nice and the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, we only got the drinks after we had finished eating. The quality of the pizza was rather mediocre. No reason for us to go back. It's a shame.

The location is of course great and the food is really above average. However, you have to cut back on service. For us it went very well at the beginning, but after the starter was served we were no longer considered for half an hour. If you consider that the tables are actually only reserved for 90 minutes, which fortunately wasn't the case with us, then of course it doesn't work.

Food itself is good, but very small portions and quite expensive. Very bad service, overwhelmed waiters who hardly speak a word and run around wildly .... very stressful atmosphere. The restaurant is very full, even 2 p.m. ... probably due to the location with the terrace on the water. You will be intercepted very unfriendly at the entrance so that you can register with a QR code. Our meal was forgotten and we had to wait a long time without further explanation. I wouldn't recommend it.

It was okay again. The waiting times are extremely long even now for the third time. Then water and Hugo were emptied all over the table, including my chair and skirt. The waitress was clearly uncomfortable. The first round of drinks was on the house. Which is the least. The skirt and legs were stuck, despite the fact that I tried poorly to clean them in the toilet. Accordingly, the wasps clung to me. What a shame ... we've tried three times now. The food is okay, some dishes are delicious, others are very good but nothing special.

Actually, I don't write any reviews, but this time I think it's necessary. We had reserved a table. After that we waited at the bar for half an hour. The waitresses ran past us stressed and created a corresponding atmosphere. We then ordered an aperitif at the bar. That also took some time. Now the table that was offered to us, mind you after the 2nd time questions while guests coming after us already had a seat, was in the last corner. We then left and spent the evening in a different restaurant, which was definitely the right decision. So if you prefer such a handling with stressed waitresses, it may be due to the longing for the stress before Corona. For us it was definitely the last visit and unfortunately therefore only one star.

Our visit here was generally good experience, considering how crowded it was the service was quite fast and professional. Also, this was by far the largest pizza I have ever received anywhere... HUGE is the best term to describe it and be sure you are REALLY hungry if you want to order one. The reason why I take away one star: taste was average at best, pastry was good, but it was basically empty on top with only tomato sauce filling everything. And it wasn't that good tomato sauce. On the other hand, pizza that my girlfriend ordered was rich and tasted much better at the same time (BBQ Chicken) so I guess it's a hit and miss here. In the end, I would gladly settle for a pizza that is 10cm less in diameter but rich with filling and flavor... Still, I do recommend this place as an overall experience.

Really big portions, will be eating pizza for days

I wanted to propose to my girlfriend on 08/16/20 because this restaurant was a special place for us. Despite timely reservation and extra notice, everything backfired. It started with the employees not even being able to communicate with each other. In addition, the guests are turned on stupidly despite a reservation for an application. My girlfriend was kicked out of the bar. And we had to go somewhere else spontaneously for the application. THANK YOU THAT YOU screwed up the most beautiful day of me and my girlfriend. NEVER AGAIN IN THIS STORE. PS: Dear guests, if you want to celebrate a special day. Dan prefers to go to the McDonalds

Pizza was a little undercuts. Unfortunately the waiter was very stressed, which caused the friendliness to suffer a little. The entire staff ran stressed through the area. From the open kitchen you could only hear faster, faster, and Pronto. In other restaurants, the staff is also stressed, but the dining room is much quieter. Quickly but calmly and without stress. This stressful atmosphere is automatically transferred to the customers. So too for me. Unfortunately, wearing the mask was not taken very seriously. Almost everyone wore the mask under their noses!

They have delicious pizzas, only the pasta they were never just hard. But the service is great always took the noodles with them without hesitation but they were only warmed up ... That's why there is the star because it wasn't just once that the noodles weren't done with us. Otherwise nice atmosphere and good service. I like to come here.

Amazing food! Prices are good and quality is terrific. Book before coming if you want to eat on peak hours. Place is cozy and smells great 😍

Fantastic location, amazing (and huge!) pizzas, great beer, overall a really good place for lunch and to just relax and enjoy by the river. Highly recommended if you're visiting Esslingen

Loved this bbq chicken pizza

I would say that this place is actually 2,5 stars and here is why. We wanted to have a good coffee and some dessert. So we figured that this place would be great. And let me tell you Panna Cota was perfect and espresso was great. But service was obnoxious! They literally threw our dessert spoons on the table because we wanted to change it for one that is more stable. And then, when we wanted to pay the card machine was also thrown on our table. It is a shame because the location is great....

If you want to throw a party then this is right place. If you want to go for a date with a nice view of Esslingen down town then this is right place. They have very good options for everyone. It’s not just a place for pizza lovers but also for someone on diet because of tasty salads. They also have variety of Risotto. Have an amazing time with your family and friends.

The food is mediocre. Don’t order carbonara. To be honest, everything is a bit overpriced. The toilets have a code: 2486 Interior is modern.

Wunderbar!.... That is the word. If I am in Esslingen, then Ginger Ale and Pizza is my meal here. Their collection of beers is great to unwind!

It is surrounded by the Neckar River and nice place to hangout with friends

This place is a classy joint with excellent Italian food, and the pizzas are giant! The food is priced well with good service. When the weather is good you can sit outside right next to the river

Amazing meal and great atmosphere. Food was incredible and you can't go wrong with any of their pasta dishes or pizzas. I got Tortelloni prosciutto e panna and the sauce is to die for! Absolutely worth it.

Great pasta and amazing pizzas, definitely a first choice when visiting.
